The operative structure is located in Novara (Italy) and part of the Technological and Scientific Pool, where the University and several R&D Companies are acting in Life Sciences.

A high qualified team of scientists is currently working in Chemessentia laboratories, which are equipped with the most updated analytical instrumentation:

- HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography)
- Gas Chromatography
- HPLC-MS (HPLC-mass)
- NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance)
- XRD (X-Ray Diffrattometer)
- Laser Light Scattering and Optical Microscopy
- DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) and RC1 (Reaction Calorimeter); TGA
- IR, UV, melting point

Since the beginning Chemessentia has been collaborating with a network of highly recognized universities and research centers, both national (ex. University of Novara, Politecnico of Milan, University of Siena, University of Genova, Stazione Sperimentale dei Combustibili) and international (ex. University of Manchester, University of Amsterdam, Université Libre de Bruxelles).

Giuseppe Barreca, the Managing Director of Chemessentia, is coordinating the API R&D activities in order to assure the best efficacy in the industrialization of the newly developed APIs and the best market outcome.
